If this is your first visit to my blog then welcome but if you've already checked it out...As you can see, I've been messing with the technical things that make this blog shine. I've added a few more pictures and wrote my "about me" section.
I'm really hoping this will be a way that my family and my friends etc. can keep in touch and enjoy some of the stories from the Weirich homefront.
So, what's been going on in the Weirich house? Well, lots as always. We've just started a new semester in school and ended the last semester with super grades from both Heather and Josh. Heather is still very active on the Yearbook Staff and keeps her creativity flowing. We've ordered her a class ring and it should be in next week. Wonder what my parents paid for our class rings?! Geez, hers was almost $300! Yikes, we didn't expect that. She made a good decision on what design she picked though cause it's very pretty and she'll wear it for years, I'm sure. I got the typical "class ring" looking ring and I don't wear mine as an adult.
Josh is still playing basketball through SOAR sports and Dave is his coach. It's such a sight to see them play. They haven't won one game but these little 8 & 9 year olds don't get discouraged, they play hard the whole game. Dave stays consistently patient the whole game, encouraging them, cheering them on and patting them on the head constantly. Tee hee...I can tell you for sure that he doesn't realize how often he does it, it's really cute to watch!
Heather will begin a tumbling, cheer class in a week or so. She's planning to try out for cheerleading at the end of the year for her Junior HS year.
Josh is going to be playing with "Yes I Can" Basketball league and it starts the end of March, only a few weeks after this league is through.
Golf season is around the corner and truthfully, Dave has snuck in alot of golf lately since our weather has been very mild at times. He really enjoys it and it's good relaxation for him.
I am volunteering at our church office doing Data Entry every Monday and on Tues I mentor/tutor 4 students at Josh's school. On the off days, I have been known to cater for Zaxby's restaurant and enjoy that.
So, now that you're somewhat updated I'll keep you up to date from here....stop back by soon!
Love to you all!
