What Have I Been Doing?

What have I been doing lately? Well, I came back from the Sweet 16 Florida trip with four teenage girls and my sister to alot of chaos and busyness. I had to take both of our kids to the doctor, Josh his bladder and Pulmonary Specialist along with Heather having her yearly physical exam scheduled.

I pulled into town on that Wed at around 6:30p but David had left earlier that day at around 12:30p for his yearly golf trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. It took me four days to unpack my suitcase because I hit the ground running with doctor appts and errands and getting our laundry all caught up and just the day to day.

Now, I'm onto preparing Josh and all that he needs so that he can go to Camp Thunderbird with his 3rd grade class at Hemby Bridge Elementary. I've gotten his Inhalers refilled and an Epi-pen along with all of his other allergy meds. Josh is highly allergic to even spider bites and mosquito bites along with his seasonal allergies and his corn allergy!

We're supplying all of Josh's food while he's at camp next week due to his "rare" food allergy, corn. So, about 2 months ago I made up a draft style menu. As I would think of things I could send him I would make note of it. The other day, Josh and I sat down and he chose what he wanted to eat for each meal and we put together a final menu. Dave works in Fort Mill, SC which is close to where the camp is that Josh's class is attending so Dave will deliver Josh's food each day.

Now, today I need to get mental notes made of how I'll transport ketchup, sour cream etc. for the meals. Yes, he can't even have ketchup. We eat Organic Ketchup (Full Circle brand) around the Weirich house. Ketchup has lots of corn syrup in it. The funny thing is that our Organic Ketchup takes exactly the same.

I've been busy with Heather choosing classes for her Junior year of high school along with guiding her while she applies for a job at Lowe's Foods. She was just hired yesterday and will go to take her drug test and fill out paperwork this coming week. She'll begin orientation and officially begin making a paycheck.

Heather is saving to buy a car and has one in mind. Ryan Harriss has a Ford Explorer that she wants. She's been trying to put aside some babysitting money and the money that she makes at Zaxby's restaurant (my friend owns it) to get started. She can officially get her Driver's License June 14, 2008! YIKES!

As soon as I get Josh off to camp next Wed (April 16th) then I'll begin packing my suitcase for my trip down to my parents' place in Bonita Springs, Florida. They will be heading back to Ohio for the summer and I'll fly in to help pack up and drive north.

My mom has fractured her verdibae (L3), along with a fall last week leaving her with bruised ribs so I'm praying she'll be recovered enough to make the many hours in the van.

I'll try to do better next week in keeping you up to date at the Weirich house. These kinds of postings are boring to me cause there's no pictures and really nothing monumental to share!
