HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY TO JOSH!

Well, if you're a parent then you know it happens - you're kids grow up!

Josh turned 10 years old yesterday and I can hardly believe it! Really! It truly does seem hard to believe that 10 years ago he was just a little 4lb 15oz PREEMIE baby boy! He was so small at birth that he didn't even fit in the preemie diapers or clothes. I remember the diaper coming up to his chin it was so big.

So, Josh's day began with school, unfortunately....Here's what happened...we had to have a snow day this week so they took away our day off to make it up and it happened to be Friday, Josh's birthday!
We decided to make the most of it so I arrived at school with cookies for everyone (safe ones for Josh) and we sang to him. Here he is while his class is singing to him...yes, he's dancing! Hahaha!
Then, I got all these rowdy 4th graders to take a group picture! They were wound up but he has a great class!
The rest of the day unfolded at Olive Garden. We asked Josh what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said "eat at Olive Garden and go bowling". So, here we are at Olive Garden right when all the wait staff is singing to Josh. Notice the surprise look on his face.

Josh opened his gifts while at Olive Garden. He got some Bakugan and a new Nintendo DS game called NintenDOGS along with his favorite gum - Cinnamon.

Josh wanted to show you his piece of cake :)

Heather and Josh with his cake...

Here's Me (having the worst hairday ever) and Goof Ball Dave! Poor Heather she couldn't get him to take a serious picture. We had fun though so we didn't care.

Dave and I had to capture this picture. Most of you know that most days having a teenager and a pre-teen in our house is cause for war! This was a very sweet time when they were enjoying each other.

After leaving Olive Garden we went (just the four of us still) to see the movie Hotel For Dogs. GREAT movie if you haven't seen it. It is hilarious but you do need some kleenex for a short time. A must see for animal lovers like us!

Oh yeah - guess I better explain why we didn't honor Josh's request to go bowling. Josh had 4 warts frozen off his hands this past Monday and as of Friday they were huge blisters so there was no way he could put his thumb (you can kinda see one of them in this picture above) into a bowling ball. He opted for a movie instead.

Happy 10th Birthday my little man!

Happy Birthday Josh! I cannot believe you are 10 either! Right there with your mom. Guess what - - Reece chose Olive Garden for his birthday meal too! We went on the day it snowed, also Reece's birthday (January 20th). Glad we got to see how special your celebration was!
