Our Pastor has been encouraging all the husbands to "date" their wives and take them out to dinner etc. He's been in a sermon series out of the Book of Solomon. Well, instead of just encouraging all the husbands to take their wives out on a date - about a week or so ago, they went one step further. They gave all the married couples a choice of about 12 restaurants in the Charlotte area and told them to pick one. When they picked one they were given a $30 gift card to enjoy a night out, together and with none of these.....
Dave and I went out tonight! Dave chose Outback Steakhouse cause we both enjoy their food. Dave had Prime Rib and I had the Queensland Salad. Okay, let me confess, we shared a dessert since the tab was taken care of! Carrot Cake, of course!
What a treat and what a great way to help married couples reconnect when their lives are moving so fast in the day to day! We definitely needed it this week.
