Ladderball Anyone?

Ever heard of it? We (the Weirich's) were first introduced to Ladderball in Ohio at Grammy Linda and Grandpa Ralph's log cabin. Well, let's just say they don't call it Ladderball, they have another name for it but I prefer to keep my blog postings Rated G...tee hee!

The four of us played on teams last night and had a blast! We were almost eaten alive by mosquitos but with the help of modern sprays we were easily able to continue our need to define who was the best at Ladderball in the Weirich House!
Well, of course Dave's team won - are you surprised? He wins everything around here, cards, basketball games and now Ladderball! UGH! Just kidding, we have to let him win or we'd be playing out there all night until his team won! Hahaha!
Here's the Referee, Umpire, Rule Keeper! Believe me - we weren't allowed to even stretch the rules with him on guard! :) Would you?
The teams were as follows: Heather and I, Dave and Josh, yup, girls against boys!
We even had our dog Missi involved, well actually we didn't invite her but she couldn't help herself, she had to get the balls for us.

Uh Oh!!! She's off to get the balls....
Ummm...Missi wait until we've thrown all 3 sets of balls before you steal them!!!!!!

Too late - she got it! We laughed so hard we fell down! She stole it right off the ladder!
But, when she flung them in her mouth like they were prey they would hit her in the face and she would drop them.
So, Heather attempted to teach her how to hold them by the string - nope, it didn't work, she wanted THE BALL!
Josh looped one on his shoulder accidentally!

Sissy's turn! Go Sissy, you're on my team!!!

Josh got so happy when he looped a 3 pointer that he took a picture of it, delay of game!
This is what did us in - Dave and Josh looped all three levels and their score came to 21 - GAME OVER!
This is one of the bazillion shots I took trying to get them high-fiving each other, gloating, rubbing it in - that's our boys for ya!

Okay, I think they finally got it in this one - enough gloating! I needed Aunt Jude's high tech camera to catch the action on this one, Josh is all blurry, sorry!
So, you can have a Ladderball too, we got ours at Wal-mart for less than $20. We look forward to having more fun with it during our summer grill outs with all our Survivor Family, you know who you are!

I was just introduced to Ladderball when we went to the All Star race a few weeks ago. Apparently, it's the hot new game of tailgaters these days. Let's just say, I was a little concerned that we were going to get whacked in the head by flying Ladderballs - some of the players aim was off after a few hours of tailgaiting...lol. Looks like you all had a great time!

I just blogged about this same thing a few days ago! I played it at our Sunday School cookout for the first time. It must be the new game for the summer! We had a blast doing it!
