For those of you who have been waiting to hear the news... Josh went to see Dr. Ash to be retested for his CORN allergy. We've been living with and adjusting his food choices for over 2 years now. Well, we were so happy to find out that he is NO LONGER ALLERGIC TO CORN! He has some mild allergies to apples, oranges, cantalope, tomato, onion, oats, chocolate and peanuts. What that means is - he won't be able to eat the above listed things all in one day or he'll get a stomach ache or possibly diarhea. Yuck - that's no fun! He has a little higher allergic reaction to garlic that we have to watch out for but it's nothing like being allergic to CORN!
Josh asked me to take along our camera so that he could see what they do to him and then he asked me to put it on my blog.
So, here's a short documentation of his visit last week...
Here's Josh being distracted while he waits for the nurse
By the look on Josh's face I believe she started the needles
There they are - brewing!
They check them in 10 mins and again in 20 mins and then they read and score them.
Here's our happy boy eating a corn chip after waiting 2 years to do it safely!
Sillyness!

Wahoooooo!!! Praise the Lord!!! He is soooo good. We are thrilled that Josh's allergies are starting to subside. I know the absence of the corn allergy is such a blessing to you and to him!! Next time we get together I am going to have to bring him some regular juice boxes and whatever else I can find with CORN in it!!!
Corn on the cob, my summer favorite. Yay, Josh! You were so good for so long. Pat yourself on the back!!
